Location:  Tokyo-to, Chiyoda-ku, Nagatacho 1-10-1 zip: 100-8924 (03) 3581-2331

How to get there: The nearest train station is Nagatacho, take exit #3. Take the exit stairs and walk straight out of the exit for about 2 blocks and it is on the right hand side after the light.

Language: Japanese, maybe English

Getting started: Once you arrive you have to fill out a short computerized form and then you get a library/ID card for your visit. No bags are allowed, but wallets, and cell phones are ok. You can put your belongings in a coin locker.

Opening Hours: Monday-Friday 9:30-7:00, Saturday 9:30-5:00.

General working conditions: If you speak Japanese, there are many helpful staff members who will assist you. It is very organized.

Consultation: Not sure

Policy on technology: Lap tops? Digital cameras? Scanners are allowed. I am not sure.

Photocopy policy: They are about 24 yen per page.

Particularities: There is a full café on the first floor.

How to apply for classified files: Once you have requested the books/periodicals you need, you pick them up at the indicated counter. If you need copies you must go to the first floor and use the computers to print out a form to request what pages you need copied. On average after you have submitted your request to the counter, it takes about 30-40 minutes. Bring a book, or go to the café.
