Archives:
- The library is on the second floor of the east side of the building. From the main entrance go straight, take the first staircase on the right, go up a flight of stairs, turn left, walk to the point of the building where the columns begin, and the door should be on your left.
- The archive is on the first (ground) floor, under Court Room No. 5. Sort of in the center/north west side of the Court.
- The museum is outside the Supreme Court building grounds, to the north. No permissions are required to enter. But they have no other items than what are display, I have been told.
General working conditions: Fine conditions. Records room/archive is a bit of a mess. Library is well organized but has no primary source documents. The Records Room only has documents from post 1937. Additionally, they have told me that they throw out their paper documents at the end of every year and digitize their records.
Policy on technology: Unknown
Photocopy policy: Unknown
Particularities: Dr. Anup Surendranath, (dyreg.anupsurendranath@sci.nic.in) the new Deputy Registrar of Research is very helpful, and has been brought in to smooth the process of research.
